Skirt Making, November 28th and 29th

5:30 to 8:00 with Bev St John

Sewing machines are available and some fabric will be provided. Also bring 4 yards (per color) of  ribbon of your choice. If you are bringing your own fabric (2.5 yards) please have it pre-washed.

 Dinner is provided.

Increase Culture Campus.  The department coordinates cultural activities, training, and ceremonies to enhance student learning.It also increases cultural adeptness to current and future employees of the college through professional development opportunities.

There’s just something about the aroma and taste of homemade bread! Join us to learn how easy and fun it is to make your own artisan loaf.  You’ll also learn how to make your very own sour dough starter.

Spoon Carving in Pine Point, November 18th

Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Old Pine Point School, 48580 Pow Wow HWY Ponsford

Cost: FREE! lunch provided

Instructor, Steve Dahlberg, has been carving for over 30 years & is also an artisan of Scandinavian style knives.

Supplies are provided and space is limited, so REGISTER NOW!
(Note: Age 13 on up. Those under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult.)

October 23-24th, Applique: Design and Construction

Monday & Tuesday,  5:30 pm to 8 pm

What to bring;

  • Embellishments: sturdy satin, ribbons, calico and cotton fabric scraps.
  • a bag, shirt, skirt or vest to put applique on
  • Bring your own drawn design for applique

Sewing machines are available and some fabric will be available.

The September response and participation for skirt making was overwhelming so we added an October class is being offered.

Though we will have some fabric you can bring your own pre washed 2. 5 yards and your own 4 yards (per color) of ribbon of your choice. Instructor is Bev St John.

Class is free and dinner is provided
