Fermented Foods & Kombucha, Friday, November 18th, 4 to 6pm Fermentation has been used by all people in all places to preserve food. With the advent of canning, refrigeration, and the global food system the use of fermentation has all but disappeared from today’s kitchens. This workshop will attempt to return some of these traditions to general use. We will cover vegetable, and a Kombucha beverages.
Deer Canning with a pressure cooker, Saturday, November 19th, 10 to 3pm Learn how to safely can deer meat and take home a couple jars. We supply the deer meat but please bring a few pint jars.
